Version numbers and Update Philosophy

We follow a clear path with our version numbers and software updates. This shall be introduced here in a few words.

Changes of the second decimal comprise little improvements or extensions of the functionality. These Updates are usually free via download.
A change of the first decimal provides new features, even bigger ones.
A change by one is a evolutionary step and really rare.

A whole step of the version number is usually achieved after several years, and after many updates. The integer step shows the large evolutionary steps of the application.
